KEY POINTS

  • Chris Rock took to the stage in London Thursday to kick off the U.K. leg of his “Ego Death” world tour
  • The comedian took a dig at Amber Heard, accusing the actress of lying
  • Rock also spoke about Johnny Depp’s allegation that his ex-wife left poop on his bed, which Heard has denied

Chris Rock seemingly took a side in Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s ongoing legal battle.

Weeks after making headlines as the victim of Will Smith’s infamous slapping incident at the 2022 Oscars, the 57-year-old comedian took to the stage in London Thursday to kick off the U.K. leg of his “Ego Death” world tour.

During his show at the Royal Albert Hall, Rock spoke about Depp’s ongoing defamation trial against Heard, including the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star’s allegations that his ex-wife left poop on his bed, LADBible reported.

“Believe all women, believe all women… except Amber Heard… What the f–k is she on? She s–t in his bed! She’s fine but she’s not s–tting fine,” the comedian was quoted as saying by the British digital publisher in a segment in which he joked about cancel culture. “She s–t in his bed. Once you s–t in someone’s bed, you [are] just guilty of everything.”

Rock continued, “She s–t in his bed. What the f–k is going on there? Wow. And they had a relationship after that.”

Heard has denied defecating on her ex’s bed.

Rock also appeared to allude to the Oscars slap controversy earlier on in his set. He did not mention anyone by name but gave the audience an update on how he was doing.

“I’m OK in case anyone was wondering. I got most of my hearing back and I’m trying to make a decent show,” he said.

The comedian then launched a critique on the sensitivity of the modern world, noting that most people are now “scared of offending” and thus there is less conversation and more “nodding.”

“[People say] you’ve got to be careful because words hurt, words hurt… you know, anybody who’s ever said words hurt has never been punched in the face,” he joked.

Rock went on to quip that “everyone’s a victim these days,” adding: “There are real victims in the world, they deserve to be heard, they deserve our love and compassion. But if everybody claims to be a victim, then no one hears the real victims.”

Rock also referenced the recent attack on his fellow standup comedian Dave Chappelle while the latter was performing at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl as part of the “Netflix Is A Joke” comedy festival earlier this month.

Chappelle was nearing the end of his set when an onlooker suddenly stormed the stage and tackled him to the ground. At the time, Rock joined Chappelle on stage and jokingly asked, “Was that Will Smith?”

“We say the world is addicted to opioids, no… the world is not addicted to opioids. The number one addiction in the world is attention,” Rock said during his Thursday show. “One of the easiest ways to get attention is to be infamous, to try to stab Dave Chapelle on stage…Or you can be a victim… it’s the easiest way to get attention.”

Isaiah Lee, 23, the man accused of attacking Chappelle, was later arrested and charged with four misdemeanor counts.

Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in which she described herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” Though Depp was not named in the article, he claimed it cost him movie projects.

Depp and Heard’s defamation trial is on a break. It will resume Monday, with Depp returning to the stand and Heard’s sister Whitney Henriquez and actress Ellen Barkin testifying for her.
