KEY POINTS

  • Erika Jayne said she has “empathy” for her now-estranged husband Tom Girardi’s alleged victims
  • She claimed she “cooperated fully” in the legal proceedings surrounding Girardi’s embezzlement and fraud case
  • The Bravo star declared that she only cared about herself during a heated argument with co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff

Erika Jayne is clarifying her outburst on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” in which she told her co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff that she doesn’t “give a f–k about anybody else but me.”

The 50-year-old reality star insisted that she has “empathy” for her ex Tom Girardi’s alleged embezzlement victims.

“Of course, I have empathy for them,” Jayne told Page Six. “I had empathy for them then, and I have empathy for them now. And I trust that they will be taken care of.”

Girardi is accused of embezzling millions of the settlement funds intended for the families, including widows and orphans, who lost loved ones in 2018’s Lion Air Flight 610 crash.

The news came one month after Jayne filed for divorce from the 82-year-old disbarred attorney in November 2020 after 21 years of marriage.

The “XXPEN$IVE” singer has since faced various questions and scrutiny from fans and castmates about her knowledge of Girardi’s alleged wrongdoings.

“Listen, I want to be very clear here: I have cooperated fully with everything,” Jayne told the outlet. “Despite what is out there in blogs or tweets or anything on social media, please understand that I’ve cooperated fully.”

In the extended teaser of “RHOBH” Season 12, Jayne and Kung Minkoff got into a heated argument over the former’s legal troubles.

“You want to be on the side of the victims because you think it’s cool!” Jayne told her co-star. “I don’t give a f–k about anybody else but me!”

This isn’t the first time Jayne has addressed her tension with Kung Minkoff.

While promoting the upcoming season of “RHOBH,” she told Us Weekly Tuesday: “There is this outpouring of, ‘Why don’t you act this way, Erika? Why aren’t you compassionate? Why don’t you have empathy?’ And the truth is, I do. I’m also under a lot of legal pressure. I’ve walked right up to the line. I’m fighting with one hand tied behind my back.”

The Bravo star claimed that she had shared “just about everything” about the case that she could on-screen but felt that no one was listening — something she found frustrating.

Jayne was dismissed from Girardi’s embezzlement and fraud lawsuit in January.

However, her legal battle continues after the law firm Edelson PC filed another lawsuit in April alleging that Jayne, her company EJ Global and the Girardi & Keese law firm and its lenders committed several crimes, including racketeering, receipt of stolen property, aiding and abetting concealment of stolen property, unlawful business practice and consumers’ legal remedies act and deceit.

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
