The Essex Serpent
If you love watching historical movies, then “The Essex Serpent” is a perfect pick for you. The movie is streaming on Apple TV+ and it features Marvel star Tom Hiddleston, who plays Will Ransome in the flick.
The story revolves around a newly widowed woman named Cora (played by actress Claire Danes), who was in an abusive marriage. Following her husband’s death, she moves to a small village in Essex from Victorian London.
The story unfolds when she learns that a mythical creature has returned to the village. The movie also stars Frank Dillane, Clémence Poésy, Jamael Westman, Hayley Squires and Dixie Egerickx. The film is helmed by director Clio Barnard.
Conversations with Friends
“Conversations with Friends” tells the story of two Dublin college students, Bobbi and Frances, who meet a married couple named Melissa and Nick. The series is streaming on Hulu and it is based on a 2017 novel of the same name.
The series stars Alison Oliver, Joe Alwyn, Jemima Kirke, Sasha Lane, Alex Murphy and Natalie Radmall-Quirke. Each episode of the series will release every Sunday on the streaming platform.
The Lincoln Lawyer
Love watching legal drama? Then “The Lincoln Lawyer” is something you should definitely watch over the weekend. It is streaming on Netflix and stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Neve Campbell, Christopher Gorham, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson and Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine.
The series follows the story of Mickey Haller, a lawyer handling big and small cases in Los Angeles. The story is based on Michael Connelly’s 2008 novel “The Brass Verdict.”
Senior Year
The highly anticipated movie “Senior Year,” featuring actress Rebel Wilson, revolves around a high-school cheerleader who gets into a state of coma ahead of her prom night. After 20 years, she returns to her high school to become a prom queen.
The flick, which is streaming on Netflix, is helmed by director Alex Hardcastle and it also stars Angourie Rice, Joshua Colley, Mary Holland, Alicia Silverstone and Justin Hartley.
